Custom Silicone Prosthetic for Coldscream Cosplay – Ragna from SYNCED

The Brief

An elaborate cosplay project called for a custom silicone prosthetic. Cosplayer Coldscream Cosplay (Masha) was to portray the character Ragna from the video game SYNCED as faithfully as possible.

The prosthetic had to fit into the existing character design and carry the striking look of the game figure onto the performer. Alongside the shaping, what mattered was fit, comfort across a long day and the effect on camera.

The Process

After the design brief was agreed, the prosthetic was sculpted, moulded and fabricated in platinum silicone specifically for this project.

The transitions were executed ultra-thin so the piece bonds almost invisibly to the skin, which is what allows it to hold up in photo and video work.

After fabrication it was colour-matched to the skin tone and made up until it disappeared into the finished cosplay.
