The Brief
For a video production by Instinct3, HandOfBlood was to be transformed fully into Gollum: a camera-ready creature look, not a suggestion of one.
The Process
The build comprised custom-made face prosthetics, blending of the transitions to the skin and the complete makeup application. In a full-face transformation the edge decides everything: where the prosthetic ends, the camera must not find a border.
