Not Every Production Finds the Right Prop Off the Shelf.

Often custom solutions are needed that are tailored exactly to a scene, an actor or a particular effect.

That is why every project begins with a personal conversation. Together we clarify what the prop needs to do. Will it be shown in a close-up? Does it need to be especially lightweight? Should it be destroyed, or survive several days of shooting? Is it only seen in the background, or does it play a central role in the story?

Only once these questions are answered does development begin.

Depending on the project, the result may be realistic body parts, silicone dummies, special props or bespoke custom builds. This draws on traditional craftsmanship, mould making, modern digital development and high-quality materials.

My goal is to develop props that blend believably into the production. Maximum realism is not always the priority. Sometimes a prop needs to be particularly light, robust or flexible. What matters is that it reliably fulfils its purpose and convinces on camera.

My Standard

I love the challenge of turning an idea into something tangible. Body parts, dummies and bespoke custom builds in particular are among the projects I most enjoy working on. My standard is to create props that not only look realistic but meet exactly the requirements your production places on them.

Good to Know

Not every prop has to be identical to the original down to the last detail. Depending on the camera angle, lighting and intended use, a lighter or simplified construction can even be the better solution. Together we decide which level of detail makes sense for your production.
